Last month, The OffSZN Brand, a popular Illinois-based sports podcast, asked a question that gained some steam throughout the greater Chicagoland area:

Is this the greatest run in Chicago high school football history?

Jordan Lynch was at the center of the debate. He had just led Mount Carmel, his alma mater, to its fourth consecutive state championship. He had just been named the Navy All-American Bowl coach of the year. And he had just been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.

You may remember that college stretch, which landed Northern Illinois an Orange Bowl berth and Lynch a seat the following year in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Could this epic run for Lynch at the high school level now return to the college ranks?
