Week 14 picks: Conference championship weekend is here
A .500 record may be out of sight (for now), but we can inch closer with some big games this weekend.
Last weekend of the year, not including bowl games. And impossible to reach .500. Great feeling.
Away we go!
Texas -14.5 vs. Oklahoma State (FanDuel). It’s Texas’ last Big 12 game. The Longhorns are 11-1 this season, with their only loss on a last-minute TD pass to Oklahoma. Oklahoma State? The Cowboys are lucky to be here after barely beating a bad BYU team at home last weekend. The Pokes have lost games this year by 26 points to South Alabama and by 42 points to UCF, the latter game happening a mere three weeks ago. And yet somehow Mike Gundy was voted conference coach of the year over Steve Sarkisian. Think the Horns haven’t noticed all the aggrieved feelings on their way out? They beat Texas Tech by 50 last week. Throw in the fact that Texas might need some style points to make the Playoff, and the ‘Horns should run away with this game easily.
