Good morning. How was your weekend? Mine was great, thanks for asking.

1. The carousel continues

We don’t like repeating ourselves here, but it’s hard not to do just that when the same thing keeps happening over and over.

It sure looks like Michigan State athletic director J Batt is Kentucky-bound after barely a year leading the Spartans.

This became somewhat expected after Batt’s boss, Kevin Guskiewicz, left the MSU presidency job for Clemson last month … after all of two years in East Lansing.

This is the Big Ten. The biggest and richest conference there is. The conference that, more than anyone else, controls the fate of the future of this enterprise.

And now yet another conference school finds itself with a striking amount of turnover at a critical time.

Again, at risk of repeating ourselves, we covered a lot of this ground last month when writing about Wisconsin’s revolving door of leadership. Now MSU looks like it will be on its fourth AD since 2021, and its fourth president since 2022.
