1. Notre Dame adds to its defensive line haul
The rich keep getting richer, and Notre Dame keeps getting bigger.
Marcus Freeman’s squad landed yet another crucial recruit on the defensive line Thursday, as Mount Carmel (Ill.) four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks committed to the Irish over Oregon.
Depending on your math and your recruiting service of choice, Parks, a southside Chicago product, is the Irish’s seventh blue-chip defensive line commit for the 2027 class. (That number includes Richie Flanigan, a 247Sports composite four-star D-lineman who projects as an offensive lineman at the next level.)
Notre Dame currently has the No. 2 class for 2027, trailing just Texas A&M on both 247 and On3.
The former outlet places Parks as the fifth-highest rated D-lineman among Notre Dame’s class. The latter has Parks sixth, behind Georgia product Segun Alexander.
