There are lots of ways to look at the Brendan Sorsby scandal.
Chris Vannini may have put it best, though.
Forget the NCAA consequences here; that’s almost another discussion for another day.
Think about how much worse it could have been for Sorsby had he been caught gambling in real time.
Remember, Sorsby reportedly placed bets on Indiana while he was redshirting with the Hoosiers as a freshman in 2022.
He could have been deemed permanently ineligible back then.
Instead, he played. And played a lot. And well.
