Just another drama-filled week in L.A. basketball, ain’t it?

1. All-America time

Anyone else find it ironic that the SEC has 14 of the 27 preseason AP All-Americans but the Big Ten has the top-two teams in the preseason AP poll? Or that Ohio State has just one preseason All-American despite receiving 40 of 69 first-place votes in the AP poll?

Here are some other facts to chew on regarding the All-America teams, which were released Tuesday:

Breakdown by conference (including first- and second-team)

• SEC: 24

• Big Ten: 16

• Big 12: 6

• ACC: 4

• Notre Dame: 3
