Oregon, Dan Lanning save their best for last in win at Northwestern
The fourth quarter was forgettable for the Ducks. The postgame remarks were not.
EVANSTON, Ill. — Somewhere amid all the clutter of this past week, an old video surfaced of an Arizona State graduate assistant explaining his “why.”
He looks awfully young, as most GAs are. The video is grainy, as many YouTube clips were back in 2012. But the voice is the same, and though the logos and the hairstyle are a little different, the man being interviewed is unmistakably current Oregon coach Dan Lanning.
FootballScoop president Scott Roussel ends the video with a routine question:
“I hear the fire in you, I hear the passion. You drove through the night to try to get on your first gig in college. Where is that coming from? Why do you want to do this so much?”
