Two things can be true:

  1. This year’s College Football Playoff has the chance to be the most exciting, narrative-driven tournament in the system’s 10-year era.

  2. Also: How do you not feel for Florida State?

Let’s start with the first bulletpoint: How exciting is this? The two-winningest programs in college football history meeting in The Granddaddy of ‘Em All? Plus, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian facing his former team in Washington?

Predictions, as we have discussed in this space, can be futile. But any of these four Playoff teams can realistically win the national championship.
