The drama surrounding the Irish’s College Football Playoff snub took a literary turn on Wednesday, as Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore initially canceled a scheduled book signing for Friday with Ivan Maisel, author of a recently released biography of former Irish coach Frank Leahy, only to say later in the day that the signing is back on, according to Maisel.
“The bookstore acted in good faith,” Maisel told The Inside Zone. “In the end, we got to the best result. On we go.”
A message left with the bookstore seeking comment was not returned.
